Candlemas

January 25th, 2003

St. Anne's Cathedral
Charlotte, NC

Although the event was preceeded by several inches of snow, the day warmed up to the 40º's and the snow was halfway gone by the middle of the day. Fighting was not so fun in the snow, apparently, so the fighters moved down to the pavement and proceeded to have a glorious time. Lord Talorgen won the novice tourney & brought home a substantial bit of booty, including compliments on his prowess from many people! Lord Gaelen roasted the pig, and we all enjoyed a marvelous feast. Lady Reyna took home a prize for her painted tapestry and Lord Christain of Baelfire Dunn likewise collected a prize for his illumination.

If you happen to see the heads of Mary, Queen of Scots or King Henry VIII it is because someone requested their photo to be removed.
