EARLY PERIOD is published quarterly for the personal amusement of Fuiltigherne ni Ruadh O'Finn and for the advancement of early period arts, crafts, sciences and research. EARLY PERIOD deals in the pre-1066 A.D. topics of interest to persons with early period personae in the SCA or similar organizations.

The response to our first issue has been very positive. We thank you all for your kind letters and for the ideas for future articles. Many groups did not send back the reply form, so we are going to offer Early Period to all groups again. If we don't hear from your group this time, you will not be receiving Early Period's next issue.

Next Issue we hope to have articles on warping the loom, tablet weaving, printed textiles, Viking clothing, natural dyes, armor and much more.

Early Period is a nonprofit, non-official publication. It is funded through subscriptions and donations. It is published quarterly on the first of October, February, May and August. Early Period is devoted to arts, crafts and sciences before the year 1066 A.D.
